9:00 – 9:15 - Check in / Free playchildren will choose to play with materials of their choice with parents at this time
9:15 – 9:30 - Circle time:Activities include Hellos, storytime, with a fingerplay or felt board activity
9:30 – 9:50 - Creative play / Music and movement or outside play – Depending on the weather the children will have time to play outside, in the large motor room or have a Music and Movement activity
9:50 – 10:10 - Art / Fine motor activity– An activity for the children and parents will be provided to strengthen fine motor skills.
10:10 – 10:30 - Wash up / Snack / Goodbyes-Children and parents will wash hands, eat snack, and then gather for a goodbye circle.

3's Preschool Program
9:00– 9:20 – Check-In– The check in procedure will change throughout the year as the children become more familiar with their own name. The children have time for free play to explore the room and the learning centers set up each day.
9:20 – 9:45 – Circle & Lesson – Activities include: “Hello Song”, counting friends, Weather bear and guided “Talk Time” with our friends. This is when we learn our lesson for the day which is tied to a children’s book, finger play, felt board story or some other interactive activity.
9:45 – 10:10 – Daily Activities -Time spent working on strengthening fine motor skills, pre-writing activities, Art, Math, Science, Play Centers & Apple Room (Imaginative play room)
10:10-10:20 - Clean-Up & Bathroom Break - Children line up and are escorted to the restroom for a bathroom break.Everyone is encouraged try to use the bathroom and must wash hands.
10:20-10:35 - Snack - As children finish their snack and clean up there are they may pick a book to look at quietly on the carpet while waiting for our friends to finish eating.
10:35-10:45 - Second Circle - Story time, BJ Bear, Show & Tell
10:45-10:50 - Get Ready for Large Motor/Outdoor Play
10:50-11:20 Large Motor Activities - Music, movement, gross motor development games and free play take place here. Weather permitting, this is our playground and bike riding time.
11:20 – Prepare for dismissal

Program Content Areas
Language Expression: The means through which a child tells you what they are thinking or feeling. Language expression can be verbal or non-verbal. This is done through books, records, stories, fingerplays, puppets, dress-up clothes for make believe, and interaction with other children and adults. Child-made books and class stories also enhance language expression.
Sensory Stimulation:Activities used to stimulate the senses – sight, sound, smell, taste and touch.This is accomplished through many mediums in the classroom such as music, water or sand table, playdough, and various visual stimuli.
Music:Musical expression enhances a child’s feeling of self-worth.It includes activities such as singing, moving, listening, and playing instruments.Music is used to teach and reinforce concepts and skills such as math, colors, shapes, and feelings.
Socialization:Children are given the opportunity to interact with peers in various play activities that are related to a daily or weekly educational theme.For example, a grocery store, fire department, or office is constructed in the dramatic play corner for a community helpers theme.Activities where children play together in the block corner or with a sensory table, also enhance cooperation with others.
Gross Motor Skills:Large muscle skills that allow a child to develop muscle coordination.Climbers, wheel toys, blocks, tires, and balance beams may be used.
Fine Motor Skills:Small muscle skill activities to strengthen coordination include playing with blocks, crayons, markers, puzzles, stringing beads, cutting with scissors, etc.All of these increase a child’s small muscle development, a precursor to writing.
Cognitive:The process of developing the ability to reason and think.This includes materials that allow for success and challenge without frustrating, thus leaving a child with a sense of accomplishment.Activities using a magnifying glass, cooking, and manipulative materials aid in cognitive development.
Language Development:Increasing a child’s knowledge of words and phrases that they need to communicate with others.Changes from two and three word phrases to four and five word sentences show an increase in language development. Activities also focus on the ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
Creative Development:Children create original works of art using their imagination, working with various types of paints, different sizes, textures, and shapes of paper, and using various materials such as clay, beans, rice, macaroni, paste/glue, yarn, etc.
